Additional tips to prevent the flu:
A nursing professor many years ago told me to increase Vitamin C, Echinacea and zinc during the flu season. I did my research and I found a "Wellness Formula” made by Source Naturals, which includes Vitamin C, Echinacea and zinc in one capsule. I prefer the capsules over the tablets due to taste.
At the beginning of September, I start taking the Wellness Formula and continue to take 2 capsules daily until March-April. I also drink turmeric and lemon water along with warm tea.
